July 3rd-4th.  Arti Gras

This annual, two day, juried art show is held on the Town Green at Russell Crossroads.  Tons of artist from all over the south.  All mediums of art.  You will see handmade jewelry, sculptures, paintings, pottery and much more.  Mark your calendars.  Friday 12pm - 8:30pm and 10am - 4pm on Saturday.

Artist interested in participating as a vendor should contact Tyler Mitchell at tmitchell@russellands.com by June 21.  Be prepared to submit photos of art with your application.


July 4th.  4th of July Parade at Blue Creek

The annual  parade begins at 11 am.  The parade starts on Olana Drive at the north end of Ponder Camp Road in Dadeville and ends at Niffer's.  You can park anywhere along Ponder Camp Road to grab some candy and trinkets thrown by parade entrants.  To join the parade, arrive at Olana Drive at 10am.  For more information contact Mickey Forbus at 334.329.0905.


July 4th.  4th of July Boat Parade

Russell Marine's Boat Parade celebrates 41 years! A really fun event that grows and grows each year.  Boats are decorated from stern to bow and some are always over the top.  Dress up, decorate your boat and join in the fun.  Boats start from Kowaliga and parade to Children's Harbor.  Two prized are awarded in the following categories: Tallest Flag, Largest Flag, Most creative Heme and Most Patriotic Crew.  First prize is $150 Russell Marine gift certificate and second prize is $75 gift certificate.  NEW this year is a prize for $500 in cash for Best Overall Boat and Crew.  If not participating you can be a spectator on the shores at 10:00am.  For details and sign up info call Kowaliga Marina at 334.857.2111 or stop by the marina to register.


July 4th.  Fireworks and AMP Concert

It is a tradition at Lake Martin.  Celebrate the 4th with spectacular fireworks and an awesome concert.  The gates open at 5pm. The Vagabonds start at 8pm.  The Southeast's largest fireworks show begins at 9pm.  After the fireworks show the band will start playing again.  Bring chairs, coolers and lots of family and friends.  For more info visit russelllandsonlakemartin.com
