A Taste of Fall: Apple Cider Glazed Pork Tenderloin

An easy, elegant dinner for a beautiful autumn evening

There's something about fall that makes us want to spend a little more time in the kitchen. Cooler evenings, the aroma of something delicious in the oven, and the opportunity to gather around the table with family and friends are some of the season's simplest pleasures.

This Apple Cider Glazed Pork Tenderloin is a wonderful way to welcome fall. It's tender, flavorful, and dressed up with a sweet and savory glaze made with apple cider, Dijon mustard, and a touch of maple syrup.

Best of all, it's easy enough for a weeknight dinner but special enough to serve when company comes.

Apple Cider Glazed Pork Tenderloin

Serves: 4–6
Prep time: 15 minutes
Cook time: Approximately 25–35 minutes

Ingredients

  • 2 pork tenderloins (approximately 1 pound each)

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper

  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme

  • 1 cup apple cider (not apple cider vinegar)

  • 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard

  • 2 tablespoons pure maple syrup

  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar

  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 tablespoon butter

  • Fresh rosemary or thyme for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F. Pat the pork tenderloins dry and season with salt, pepper, and thyme.

  2. Heat olive oil in a large oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the tenderloins on all sides until golden brown, approximately 5–7 minutes total.

  3. Transfer the skillet to the oven and roast until the pork reaches an internal temperature of 145°F, approximately 15–25 minutes depending on thickness. Remove the pork, tent loosely with foil, and allow it to rest for at least 3 minutes.

  4. Meanwhile, combine apple cider, Dijon mustard, maple syrup, apple cider vinegar, and garlic in a small saucepan. Simmer over medium heat until reduced and slightly thickened, approximately 10–15 minutes.

  5. Remove the glaze from the heat and stir in the butter.

  6. Slice the rested pork, arrange on a serving platter, and spoon the warm apple cider glaze over the top. Garnish with fresh rosemary or thyme.

Make It a Fall Dinner

Serve the pork with roasted sweet potatoes, garlic mashed potatoes, or wild rice. Add green beans or roasted Brussels sprouts for a beautiful seasonal meal.

For a little extra fall flavor, sauté sliced apples in butter with a sprinkle of cinnamon and serve alongside the pork.

Gather Around the Table

You don't need a special occasion to make dinner feel special. Set the table, light a few candles, and enjoy a relaxing evening with the people you love.

After all, some of the best memories are made right at home.

Happy fall and happy cooking!
