Wind Creek State Park

With 625 campsites scattered over 1445 acres, Wind Creek State Park can proudly boast of being the largest campsite in the United States. But the park and campsites are not only large; they are also staggeringly beautiful, set on the pristine, natural beauty of Lake Martin's shores. Wind Creek also has the distinction of being Lake Martin's only public campground.

The park is, of course, a waterbug's paradise. But while the lake is certainly the park's largest attraction, there are many other activities as well, especially hiking and picnicking. The prices for the park are quite reasonable considering all it has to offer: weekday entrance for adults is $2, and weekend entrance is $3. Admission for children and adults 62 and over is only $1. Renting a tent campsite is $14 a day, and recreational vehicle sites are only $21 per day.
