No stay at Lake Martin would be complete without a visit to its golf courses. Renowned for their aesthetic beauty and playability, these courses offer challenging yet enjoyable games for professionals and amateurs alike. In addition to various benefit tournaments, Lake Winds holds six regular tournaments every year. As for the course itself, as long as you get accustomed to the old-style circular greens, some of which are elevated, there are abundant opportunities for birdies. The course also features concessions, a pro shop, and a putting green. The course is owned and run by Alexander City.

Renovated in 2003, Willow point has hosted an impressive list of tournaments in the last few years. These include the men's and women's Alabama senior open, benefit tournaments, the Alabama Open, the State Amateur Tournament, and numerous others. The course is located on Lake Martin.

The StillWaters Resort boasts a top-notch practice facility, featuring two practice bunkers, a practice fairway bunker, a practice and lesson tee, and target greens. In a 1999 issue of Golf Digest, the Highlands Course ranked eighth in the country, and in a more recent issue the Highlands Tradition Course received a four star ranking. The course is located on Lake Martin.

Hatchet Creek recently added a new driving range and many new carts. On the last Saturday of every month the club hosts its own scramble match, except in July when a club tournament is held. The course has quite a few hills, increasing the difficulty.
